An article that G comes across while continue her research for pre-wedding shoot:

How to have Good Pre-wedding Pictures
Most of us will agree pre-wedding photos are a precious showcase of the entire essence of the beautiful celebration of union.
However, as rightly put by Adam H, wedding photographer of Purple Lambs, the challenge is how will couples who have never been trained in modelling be at ease to express themselves freely before the crew, lighting, and cameras?
Therefore, good wedding photographers usually spend time to understand couples, not just capturing the chemistry between the couples, but always coming up with ideas and aids to alleviate any possible awkward situations.
Some tips provided by Adam:
1. Location, Location, Location
A beautiful location makes everything that is in it beautiful. It’s always a great idea to go overseas for your pre-wedding shoot as couples would be in a holiday mood. Coupled with spectacular scenery and/or architecture, it is naturally easier to “get into the mood”. Nearby destinations such as Krabi and Phuket make good options.  However, if traveling is a not an option, consider places that mean very much to the both of you. With creativity, there are many places on our island to create just that right ambience for your shoot.
2. Activities
It could be anything from participating in a favourite activity of the couple such as playing a musical instrument or dancing, to anything that takes the stress away from focusing on the camera that is focusing on you.
In the series of pictures by Purple Lambs, the bride enjoys ballet, and the groom enjoys playing stringed instruments.
3. Props and tools
Most used by wedding photographers nowadays, helium balloons, a teddy bear, or even anything taken from the location itself allows couples to be more relaxed as it takes the attention away from themselves. It would be an additional bonus if the props and items themselves carry meanings to the couple such as wedding bands, veil, musical instruments etc. This helps to bring out the most natural expression from the couples or even their love story.
Of course, in my opinion, it always helps to have creative couples who know what they want or couples who are potential model material with an innate ability to pose for a great shot!
As the great philosopher Voltaire writes, “Love is a canvas furnished by Nature and embroidered by imagination.”
