How we get to know each other

N is from Church of Our Saviour (English Service). G is from Church of Our Saviour (Chinese Service).
Before they know each other, there was once they attend the same Sunday School Class together without knowing each other as G attend English Service Sunday School.
In 2004, there was a calling for G to join The New Church in Quality Hotel. After few confirmation, she decided to go The New Church to serve. Unknowingly, N follows his parents to go to The New Church as visitation because at that point of time, he is looking for a church that he can blend in. The New Church is setup by N's uncle whom is the Senior Pastor of The New Church, Rev Soh. As soon as G join the church, she and her best friend, F, join the youth ministry and also serve there. Both girls were called to gather the youths in the church to join the ministry. As they were trying to gather everyone, the same time, the leaders of youth ministry also approach some other youths. This is the first time where N met G/G met N...
In 2004, both of them went to Cambodia Mission Trip together. Through the trip, G has asked N to become her little brother. This has lead them to become good friends that N often share his problems with G regards on anything. From his secondary school friends, his crush, his problems to entering poly, etc. There was once G accompany N to buy bermuda and present for his crush. G often give him advice, encouragement or even solutions to his problems. They became good friends that some times without too much communication, G will know what is going around N's life. There were incidents that G also help N to solve over relationship problems.
Some of the problems have led to N losing friends in church/youth ministry but G is the only one who is willing to talk to him despite all youths are against to be friend with N. Slowly, as time passes, both of them have finish their O's level and entering to polytechnic. Time didn't just stop here. N has enter Singapore Polytechnic and G has enter Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Being the neighbour of each other, they often meet up together after school to watch movies, study or even shopping. As G always meet her best friend, F, so practically N came to tag along. Through several meetups, both have interest for each other but did not express. Even the youths in the church has been guessing whether are they together.
There was once that N initiate to hold G's hand but G did not reject or even felt that it is the way N expressing his interest. However, this did not just stop here. G started to felt the interest that N is expressing and she started to response to it but she is just waiting for N to pop the right question. During their meetup, N has also start to send her home and also many a times 'save' G from falling down as she has no sense of balancing. :x The way N "save" G has make her felt like little girl being protected.
Just one night 8th August, after they have went out, N send G to go home as she needs to stay over at her uncle funeral to accompany her cousins. Instead of sending G home, they spend some time on the Clementi Platform to chat.

Probably, that day 3 or 4 trains have passed them. G was still telling N that everyone is suspecting them being together. Just then, N is expecting the next train to arrive and he pop the question something like "Will you be my girlfriend" and he pop into the train leaving G on the station staring at the train door closing. At that time, G has mixed feeling of what she just heard. After she has come back to sense, she was walking down the escalator and receiving text from N to ask her to consider, answer from her will be 12am. Just as she make her way to bus interchange take 282.
Due to her past relationships, she has phobia of going into another failure of relationship. As she walked, she pray to God. A simple prayer yet also 'silly'prayer "God, if N is the right guy for me and if you want me to be with him, please send the bus now in front of me". At that time, she has no idea whether is there anymore bus as it was near midnight and bus 282 is just a loop bus. As she said "Amen!" and open her eyes, bus 282 was in front of her. With the answer she has, she was just waiting 12am to come.
When 12am came, G was at West Coast market to have supper with her mum and N was at home. N called G and she say "YES!".Officially, after 2 years plus of knowing each other, they were together on 9th August 2006.
